Bronze Alloy Dragon Flask (1993)

Otherwise
the hot metal could overheat the plaster causing it to crack
and bleed outside the mold. Once the object has been molded,
wrap it with wire mesh and dip it into a container of Plaster
of Paris. Then bury mold in a big pit of sand. Next the professor
or his assistant moves a remote controlled crane above the sandpit
and pours the hot liquid metal into the holes, which burns out
the wax inside the plaster coating to complete the procedure.
Last let it cool down and dig it out the next day. |
